The merchandising department communicates with the customers, suppliers, and production units. They handle the order processing, costing, sourcing, sampling, quality assurance, shipment, and documentation of textile products. They also coordinate with the design department to ensure that the customer’s requirements are met . 

The merchandising department is the link between the customer and the manufacturer.
